Holiday Catch-Up

It has been a while since I posted! Ack! Time has a way of slipping past you, particularly when your normal schedule is abandoned.

First off...Hailey's first Christmas was awesome! She had a great time. She got a lot of clothes from mom and dad (and Santa), tons of great books (without getting a single duplicate) and wonderful stuff from everyone.

By far her two most favorite gifts came from both sets of grandparents. Her Grandma and Grandpa Yost gave her a light-up, musical Pooh Bear which she immediately tried to suck the face off of. Grandma and Grandpa Weber gave her a rain forest 'bouncy chair' which is helping to save our sanity every single day! The best gift of all was to be around family and friends all day! She was a very happy girl and a very good girl all day long.

New Year's Eve - as is a tradition with hubby and I, we did nothing for New Year's Eve. We turned on the TV just in time to see the ball drop and give each other a kiss. Hailey was awake for her very first New Year's Eve, so she got kisses too.

As for after the New Year, winter guard started up again. For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, check out my first few posts from last year. We had guard camp from 10:00 - 6:00 for 4 days straight. My main job at camp is to get as much of the set painted as possible. This year we are doing a remake of the Beatles' song "Blackbird" by Sara Gazerek (it's beautiful). Here is a quick shot of a couple of the backdrops I did...

It is going to be a beautiful show. Their first performance is this coming Saturday. I have a really good feeling about this show and the group of kids we have this year! Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to go to all the shows this year because of Hailey.

2007 is starting out to be a really great year!
